Kurent is a compact, precision-engineered outdoor tool, combining a high-output flashlight and a windproof plasma arc in one machined body. Built for people who take the outdoors seriously, the brand needed an identity as rugged and intentional as the gear itself. Sparq created the brand from the name up, shaping a confident, American-made identity rooted in a single belief: the best of the outdoors don't settle for stock gear.

It started with the name. We pitched Kurent for the current running through the tool's plasma arc, but the deeper meaning sealed it. In folklore, Kurent (korant) is the figure who chases off winter and ushers in the light, a fitting namesake for a tool built to cut through the dark. One word carried both the engineering and the spirit of the brand.
