In search of a Graphic Design intern to join our team this summer through the school year (if you can!)
Our ideal candidate understands the ins and outs of design and has a high curiosity for cross-channel design for different brands. They should also be interested in design that drives measurable results in terms of social media and website UX.
What our graphic design intern will do:
– Work with our senior and junior designers to bring design ideas to life
– Work with our social media team on content graphics to improve brand visibility
– Will assist in creating brand guidelines for a variety of clients
– Will help build out graphical layouts for new websites for a wide array of industries
– Assist in the design and creation of internal and custom-facing presentations and print collateral
– Design infographics and educational illustrations for the Sparq brand
– Support campaigns across web, email and social channels
– Assist in the creation and maintenance of pages on the Sparq website
– Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies and campaign ideas that set us apart from the competition
– Work on visual style guides, some video content with the video team, and logos for various developments
What our intern can take back to school:
– The ability to problem-solve through design
– An understanding of branding and direct marketing principles
– The concept of engaging, results-driven creative, and multilevel campaigns that improve customer experiences.
– What it’s like to work in an agency with a multitude of clients.
Our ideal candidate is:
– Currently working towards a Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a design-related field, background in marketing is a plus
– Proficient with Adobe design software as well as Canva
– Knowledgeable of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
– Familiar with WordPress
– An independent worker, self-starter, and strong team player
– Detail-oriented with enthusiasm for learning new things
– Available to work at least 20 hours per week
